Clinics closed in Louisiana since abortion ban

Due to the activation of its “trigger law” banning abortion after the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022, Louisiana lost all of its operating abortion clinics.
More recently, the two remaining Planned Parenthood clinics in Louisiana, which provided other reproductive health services but were not licensed to perform abortions in the state, also closed their doors in late 2025.
As a result, Louisiana is without a clinic that provides abortions and has lost its Planned Parenthood clinics for other reproductive healthcare services.
