In 2025, Tennessee has one licensed abortion clinic still operating within the state. This clinic is located in Memphis and is currently the only facility providing surgical abortion services. The remaining clinics in Nashville and other areas have closed since the enactment of Tennessee’s near-total abortion ban in August 2022.
In 2024, approximately 5,840 Tennessee residents accessed abortion pills via remote consultations, supplementing the 10,020 who traveled out of state for abortions.
