Clinics closed in West Virginia since abortion ban
West virginia Protects Life
After the Dobbs decision, West Virginia enacted a near-total abortion ban in September 2022.
Before the ban, the state had one clinic actively providing abortion care: Women’s Health Center of West Virginia in Charleston. After the ban, the clinic was forced to stop providing abortions but remains open to offer other health services.
Planned Parenthood’s Vienna health center did not provide abortions before the ban and continues to offer non-abortion care.
0 open, 1 closed since 2022. Near-total ban (exceptions limited); residents travel to MD/PA/VA/OH.
